Structural engineering

We deliver civil and structural engineering solutions for greenfield industrial developments and brownfield facility modernization. We engineer heavy equipment foundations, reinforced concrete structures, structural steelwork, pipe racks, access bridges, and maintenance platforms. Our designs incorporate live loads from process equipment and piping networks, environmental conditions, site survey data, erection logistics, and seamless structural integration.

Industrial Equipment Foundations

We engineer reinforced concrete foundations for heavy process equipment, storage tanks, distillation columns, stacks, structural steel frameworks, and pipe trestles.

Key design considerations:

• Geotechnical site conditions and soil-bearing capacity
• Dead, live, wind, seismic, and dynamic operating loads
• Piping and equipment nozzle reaction loads
• Dynamic vibration and thermal impact factors
• Groundwater tables and drainage considerations
• Anchor bolt layout and embedded steel plates
• Constructability and equipment erection sequencing

Engineering deliverable packages include structural calculation reports, formwork and rebar detailing drawings, embedment layouts, connection details, and material specifications.

Structural Steel Design

We engineer primary load-bearing and secondary structural steelwork for industrial facilities:

• Steel building frames and structural supports
• Access platforms, walkways, and stair towers
• Overhead pipe bridges and utility galleries
• Equipment support structures and skid frames
• Piping, ducting, and cable tray supports
• Structural reinforcement of existing steelwork

We perform structural strength, global stability, and deflection calculations, generating arrangement drawings, cross-sections, connection details, and steel bill of materials (BOM). Designs account for shop fabrication limits, field erection, anti-corrosion coating systems, and fireproofing requirements.

Piping & Equipment Supports

We design standard and custom-engineered support structures for process piping, mechanical equipment, flue gas ducts, and utility networks.

Our portfolio covers anchor points, directional guides, sliding shoes, spring hangers, support frames, and structural connections to existing buildings. We account for weight loads, thermal growth travel, pipe surge forces, vibration, and maintenance clearances.

When retrofitting, we evaluate load-bearing capacities of existing structures and engineer reinforcement solutions where required.

Pipe Racks, Trestles & Access Platforms

We engineer:

• Overhead pipe racks for process piping and cable trays
• Maintenance and operating platforms
• Crossing bridges and technological pipe galleries
• Loading and unloading rack structures
• Crane gantry structures and special industrial installations

Structural layouts incorporate combined piping, electrical, and equipment loads, thermal movement limits, wind and snow environmental forces, along with ergonomic considerations for safe personnel access, routine maintenance, and emergency egress.

Depending on the engineering phase, documentation packages include calculation notes, structural plans, elevation sections, general arrangements, connection details, material takeoff lists, and interface requisitions for civil foundation design.
